Course Cancellation Policy
Recording Policy for Online Classes

What you need to know.

Cancellation Policy:

Published course times are based on a minimum of four students. If course enrollment is less than four, we reserve the right to cancel the course, reduce class time or combine classes.

After a course begins changes cannot be made.  A change is considered something such as moving to a different course, putting your course on hold for a later date or any type of refund. When we open a course it means we have committed to our teacher for the entire length of the course.  Once a course has started only the enrolled student may attend class.

If you cannot attend a course you must contact the registration office at least 72 hours prior to your first class meeting. Tel: 303-733-4335

With 72 hours notice:

A course credit voucher will be issued to you towards a future course. The voucher is good for one year from date of issue and cannot be redeemed for cash. A $45 administration fee will be charged for the dropped course, reducing your total credit voucher by $45.

With less than 72 hours notice:

A credit voucher for 50% of the course’s tuition will be issued to you. The voucher is good for one year from date of issue and cannot be redeemed for cash. A $45 administration fee will be charged for the dropped course, reducing your total credit voucher by $45.

With less than 24 hours notice or after the course begins:

No refund or credit will be given.

Makeup Classes:

Makeup classes are NOT available for missed classes during a course program. However, private classes are offered at a discounted rate for students wishing to recover from a lost class. In this case, please contact our office directly to schedule a class with your instructor.

Private classes:

With 24 hours notice:

A credit voucher will be given to you, good for 1 year from date of issue.  A $45 administration fee will be charged for the dropped class, reducing your total credit voucher by $45.

With less than 24 hours notice:

With less than 24 hours notice, the full price for the scheduled class will be charged.

Refunds:

Refunds are given for a course, makeup class or private lesson ONLY if the Italian Institute cancels. Refunds made, by the Italian Institute, may take up to 15 business days.

Check Fees:

A service fee of $45 will be charged for each returned check.

Inclement Weather:

Italian Institute rarely cancels class for weather. Only if the city shuts down, do we shut down. If the buses are running, we’re most likely open. Call 303-733-4335 for a “go/no go” update. If the Italian Institute cancels, due to  inclement weather, the material not covered in the canceled class, will be made-up in your upcoming classes.

Special Needs / Handicap Accessibility:

Italian Institute is committed to making its classes accessible to the disabled community. Please call 303-733-4335 to make arrangements for classroom accessibility. Also, please speak to our office staff about any special needs you might have.

Instructors come from the community and are experts in their fields; Italian Institute strives for quality but cannot be held liable for the content taught by instructors who function as independent contractors
