Day 1 Buongiorno!

As you exit the Marco Polo Venice airport, a Roman Guy representative will be waiting to take you in style by PRIVATE BOAT to your hotel in Venice!

Rest & Relaxation
Upon arrival at your Venice hotel, you’ll have some time to un-pack, take a nap or enjoy a nice cold glass of Prosecco before your Italian Vistas Guided Vacation begins.

Day 2 Island Visit

  Venice Island Adventure Tour (4 hours)
  Your second day in Venice begins in the morning with a guided tour of Murano and Burano islands. Our expert english speaking guide will pick you up by private boat and take you to visit these fairytale Venetian islands. On Murano, you’ll see the local artisans blowing glass, an art that has been practiced by Venetians for hundred of years. Next stop Burano island! You’ll have time to explore this picture-perfect brightly colored Venetian island. At the end of the tour, your guide will drop you off in the center of Venice where you’ll have free time to eat, shop, and relax.

  There are lots of things to see and do in Venice, so you’ll have the rest of the day free to explore one of the most romantic cities in the world!

Day 3 Florence

  Depart for Florence
  Start the morning by taking a private boat to our pick up point, where your luxury coach will be waiting for you. As you sit back and relax on the coach, you’ll head south and out of Venice, towards the Renaissance capital of the World. Next stop, Florence!

  Arrive in Florence
  You’ll arrive in Florence in the afternoon, just in time for check-in and to give you time to freshen up and un-pack before your introductory Florence tour begins.

  Florence Evening Walking Stroll with David (2.5 hours)
  This Florence walking tour with our local expert guide will show you the splendors of Renaissance Italy. A perfect introduction to the city, your english speaking guide will take you on a leisurely stroll through Florence, highlighting all the main sites, stopping off for you to pick up a gelato and taking you into the Accademia Gallery to say hi to Michelangelo’s statue of David.

  Welcome to Florence Group Dinner
  Enjoy your first night in Florence bonding with your fellow travelers over a typical Italian meal. Your Tour Director will be present to answer any questions and to give you a taster of what’s to come during your Italian Vistas Guided Vacation.

  • This is a 16th century Palace converted to a 4 star hotel located in the historical center of Florence. This beautiful hotel is walking distance from the main Duomo of Florence and all of the sites!

Day 4 Leisure Day

  Take a stroll through Florence’s leather markets and buy jewelry on the Ponte Vecchio bridge

Day 5 Vino!

• Free evening in Florence
  After returning from your Day Trip from Florence to Chianti, you’ll have the evening free in Florence to eat famous Florentine steak, adore the duomo at night and sip a glass of prosecco at a rooftop bar.

    San Gimignano and Chianti Wine Tasting Full Day (7 hours)
    With your Tour Director accompanying your group, you’ll begin in the mid-morning with a ride through the spectacular Chianti Hills to the medieval town of San Gimignano. Here you’ll have plenty of time to enjoy this picturesque town (make sure you bring your camera!). In the afternoon, you will visit one of the best wineries in Tuscany and The Roman Guy’s favorite organic Chianti vineyard. You’ll be given a tour of the vineyard & farm, eat a lunch of several courses, all made with local produce, and enjoy a Chianti wine tasting. You’ll also get to take part in balsamic vinegar tasting!

* Your dedicated Tour Director will give you a detailed introduction during the journey to your destination. Upon arrival, you’ll be all set to explore the sites you want to see, at your own pace.

** Free time during your vacation will be accompanied by a detailed Book for each destination, suggesting popular sights to see, hidden gems to experience, places to eat and typical local foods you just have to try while exploring particular areas.

Day 6 Orvieto

  Depart for Rome
  On the way to Rome, you’ll stop off at a town called Orvieto. After a quick funicular ride to the top of ‘the big rock’, you’ll reach the town, where you’ll have free time to browse the shops, drink a coffee in the main square, eat lunch at our recommended restaurant, and visit Orvieto cathedral or even climb the clock-tower for incredible views of the surrounding hills. Many people pass by this town without realizing what it is, but we’ll make sure you experience this hidden gem in Italy.

  Arrive in Rome.
  You’ll arrive in Rome in the late afternoon and have plenty of time to relax before you meet our local expert guide who will take you on a leisurely stroll around Rome at sunset.

  Rome Evening Guided Stroll (1.5 hours)
  Our local guide will show you Rome at the most romantic time of day. Your guide will take you through the historical city center and stop off to see many of Rome’s iconic sites such as the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, and plenty more!

  Welcome to Rome Group Dinner
  Your group will get together again over some good food at your “Welcome to Rome!” dinner. At a local Roman pizzeria in the heart of the historic center, you’ll enjoy traditional Roman style pizza and get to find out more about your upcoming Rome adventures from your Tour Director.

  •  An amazing neoclassical palazzo located in the hip Monti district near lottos beautiful wine bars and authentic restaurants. Walking distance to the Trevi Fountain and Colosseum so you can explore independently at night!

Day 7  Vatican City

  “Privileged Entrance” Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel & St. Peter’s Basilica Tour (3.5 hours)
  Rise and shine! A visit to Rome wouldn’t be complete without visiting the Vatican and the only way to do it right is to do it without the crowds. With our english-speaking expert guide, you’ll explore the Sistine Chapel an hour before the general public are allowed to enter, then you’ll make your way through the Vatican museum and finish in St Peter’s Basilica. You’ll be our Vatican VIPs.

  Free Afternoon in Rome
  You’ll have the afternoon free to explore the shopping district near the Vatican after your Vatican tour and grab a bite to eat at one of our recommended restaurants in the neighborhood.

Day 8  Rome

* Your dedicated Tour Director will give you a detailed introduction during the journey to your destination. Upon arrival, you’ll be all set to explore the sites you want to see, at your own pace.

Day 9  Pompeii

• Breakfast at Hotel

  Depart for Sorrento (via Pompeii)
  A morning departure means you get to enjoy a pit stop on your journey to Sorrento. You’ll visit Pompeii on the way, where our expert english-speaking guide will take you on a tour of the ancient Pompeii ruins that have been preserved by volcanic ash since 79A.D. After Pompeii, we will head to a local farm in the Sorrento Peninsula for Limocello & wine tasting along with a light lunch.

  Arrive in Sorrento
  Upon arrival at your hotel in the early evening, you’ll have some time to settle into your new surroundings in Sorrento.

  • An upscale hotel with an ornate lobby has beautiful rooms and elegant lighting. The hotel offers a variety of luxuries, including a swimming pool and some beautiful scenic views.

Day 10  Amalfi Coast

  Amalfi Coast Day Trip (8.5 hours)
  You’ll spend the day along the beautiful Amalfi Coast. With your Tour Director, you will depart from your hotel in Sorrento in our luxury transportation for an Amalfi Coast Tour. You’ll see the famous towns of Positano, Praiano, Amalfi and Ravello as you cruise along the most beautiful and scenic road in the world. Make sure your camera batteries are fully charged for this Amalfi coast tour!

Day 11  Leisure Day

  Enjoy a leisurely breakfast, take a stroll on the beach and laze by the pool.

  Farewell Group Dinner
  To tie your Dolce Vita Italy guided vacation up with a golden ribbon, you’ll enjoy a final group meal all together at a local restaurant with lots of delicious food and plenty of wine. With a walk back to your hotel after dinner, it’s time to say goodbye, but not forever!

Venice & St Mark’s Evening Guided Stroll
Following the winding canals and narrow cobbled alleyways, our local expert guide will  lead you through the heart of Venice island until the floating city suddenly opens up in front of us as you stand in the famous St. Mark’s square! You will enter the 1000 year old St.Mark’s Basilica skipping the line and be taken up to the amazing Terrace area where we will first see some of the oldest bronze sculptures in the world and enjoy amazing views of the square below. You’ll also walk across the iconic Rialto bridge and  see many other famous and lesser known Venice attractions along the way.

Venice Island Adventure Tour
Your group will be picked up on our private boat, which will take you across the famous Venice lagoon to Murano island. Here, you will see a glassblowing demonstration, a craft that has made Murano island famous and the technique still used today has been used for over 500 years. After, your private boat will take you to the multicolored Burano island. Enjoy free time to explore, shop and enjoy a espresso at a local cafe. Your Venice Island Adventure tour will end with you being dropped off by your guide and private boat in central Venice.

Florence Evening Walking Stroll with David
Our Florence guide will begin your Florence Walking Tour by taking you to the Academia Gallery to admire the most famous statue in the world… Michelangelo’s Statue of David. You’ll then soak up all of the Renaissance atmosphere that decorate this special city as you walk through Florence with your guide, stopping to admire Florence’s main attractions like e the bronze baptistry doors of Ghiberti, Dome of Brunelleschi, 13th Century Cathedral and Piazza della Signoria, a piazza where executions and government rebellions have been held for the last 1000 years and is now referred to as an open-aired art gallery. You’ll also visit the Ponte Vecchio, a merchant bridge that represents one of the wonders of the Renaissance times. Apart from main attractions, you’ll also see many hidden gems along the way as our local guide takes you off the beaten path to see sites many visitors don’t even notice!

San Gimignano & Chianti Wine Day
Your first stop on this day trip from Florence is to the town of medieval towers, San Gimignano. After an insight into the history of this town, you’ll get free time to explore, enjoy the best gelato in Italy and do some gift shopping. You’ll then hop back onto your luxury coach and drive into the Chianti wine region where you’ll stop at one of the best wineries in Tuscany for a Chianti wine tasting, vineyard tour, balsamic vinegar tasting and a homemade, homegrown organic Italian lunch.

Orvieto Day Tip, Umbria
Orvieto, a beautiful little town in the region of Umbria, is perched up high on a hill, which means you’ll enjoy a funicular ride to get to the top and visit it. Once in the town, you’ll have free time to visit Orvieto Cathedral, grab some lunch at one of our recommended restaurants in the town, enjoy a an espresso in the main square and browse the quaint little Italian shops. 

Rome Evening Guided Stroll
Rome, also known as the Eternal City, needs to be walked through in the evening to truly feel the magic that if offers. A light stroll is waiting for you with our expert guide who will point out the main sights such as the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain (newly re-opened!), Pantheon, Campo De’ Fiori and Piazza Navona. You will be told the stories and tales of the city during this Rome evening walking tour as the sun sets on thousands of years of ancient history.

“Privileged Entrance” Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel & St. Peter’s Basilica Tour
Entering the Vatican a whole hour before the general public on our Privileged Entrance Vatican Tour, you’ll get to admire Michelangelo’s masterpieces in the Sistine Chapel without the crowds. You’ll then explore the galleries of the Vatican Museums before finishing your Vatican tour in the most important church in all of Christendom, St Peter’s Basilica.

Pompeii Day Trip
With our local English speaking guide you’ll explore the ancient city of Pompeii, frozen in time after a disastrous volcanic eruption in 79A.D. You’ll be amazed by how much of the city still stands among the Pompeii ruins and how much has been preserved by the volcanic ash over the years. You’ll be shown shops, groves on the pavements where horse and carts used to tread. It’s fair to say you’ll never have seen anything like Pompeii.  After Pompeii we will take you to a farm located in the Sorrento Peninsula for a sampling of limoncello, wine, and a light lunch.

Amalfi Coast Day Trip
During your stay in Sorrento, you’ll take a day trip along the Amalfi coast, visiting the famous little towns that litter the coast with such ornate Italian beauty. during your Amalfi Coast tour, you’ll stop at Positano and Ravello to explore the streets and quaint little seaside shops, you’ll also see Amalfi, where you’ll have time to explore freely and grab a bit to eat for lunch as you breathe in the fresh sea air. With the blue sea on your right and green landscapes to your left, there is so much beauty to see in between these towns as well!
