Venetian Pastries, a special event
This month only, Paolo Nardin, pastry chef of the historical Canton di Gallo pastry shop in Venice, Italy, will coming to Denver for a one-time only, pastry-making event. Over the course of the evening, Paolo will impart his culinary secrets through this hands-on demonstration. Participants will learn how to make a variety of beautiful and delectable Venetian-style pastries in Italian. Best of all, each participant will be able to take home a lovely array of the pastries that we create. Presentation on the Mafia
Don't miss this month's discussion on the origins, presence and modern-day implications of the Italian Mafia in today’s society. Following Maria Chiacchio's enlightening presentation, we will enjoy a complimentary screening of the award-winning, 2008 Italian film, Gomorrah. The film will be viewed in Italian with English subtitles and, following the film, the floor will be open to your thoughts and reactions. Finger foods will also be provided.

Italian Cooking Class
Learn the art of making the classic Italian dish, risotto - in Italian! Through this hands-on class, we will learn to make several risotto dishes, including vegetarian, fish and other protein varieties, with Chef Andrea Frizzi of Milan, Italy. Afterwards, we will enjoy each delicious dish with a complementary glass of Prosecco. The class will be conducted in Italian and will be limited to the first 10 people to enroll.
